What are your areas of specialty?

At the moment I have not yet determined my specialty. As a trainee lawyer, I deal with a variety of cases, ranging from advice to representation in court, navigating between criminal, civil and administrative law. The richness and variety of my training leads me to leave the field open, allowing me to decide my specialty towards the end of my internship.

What kind of matters do you enjoy the most?

My favorite legal matters are mainly in the field of criminal law, more specifically offences against property or against life and body integrity. However, I also enjoy dealing with neighbourhood disputes and civil law issues.

What is the most impactful work you have done throughout your career?

Having only recently started my career, the most significant case for me is the one concerning the loss of a significant investment in a fraudulent fund. The ultimate goa l will be to help the client recover his investment.

Tell us about your academic and professional background.

I studied mainly at the University of Geneva where I obtained my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in law as well as my certificate of specialisation in legal matters. What remains is that I will have to complete the Federal Bar Examination at the end of my internship.

How many languages do you speak?

I fluently speak French and Romanian, and I speak English and Spanish at a conversational level.

What made you want to be a solicitor / lawyer?

Since I was young, I was fascinated by how rhetorical lawyers can be as well as their ability of defending people (no matter what their status: victim or defendant, plaintiff or defendant). On the other hand, I find that understanding the legal system of the society in which one lives is also highly beneficial in everyday life – a great asset that I would like to use to advise and help those around me.

Business aside, what do you enjoy doing when you are not in the office?

Outside of my professional life, I love running, yoga and hiking.  In addition, I am passionate about dog grooming and training, which I do from time to time for pleasure.

What is your secret talent?

When I was younger, I used to have fun writing with the toes of my feet as well as with my hands. I was pretty good at it, I don't know if I still am.
