What does your role entail at lecocqassociate?
As an associate at lecocqassociate, I advise clients on corporate, financial, and regulatory matters, assisting them with business structuring, governance, and compliance.
I also assist in civil and criminal litigation and contribute to developing the firm’s art law and cultural heritage practice.
Tell us about your academic and professional background.
I first graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, before pursuing a Master of Economic Law, at the University of Geneva. I also hold a Certificate in Transnational Law and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Legal Professions.
During my studies, I spent a semester at the Singapore Management University, an experience that broadened my perspective and reinforced my curiosity for different cultures and legal systems.
Before passing the Geneva Bar, I worked as a compliance officer in a leading Swiss private bank in Geneva. I then completed an eighteen-month traineeship at a Geneva-based law firm specialising in litigation and civil law.
I was admitted to the Geneva Bar in 2023.
Before joining lecocqassociate, I worked in the white-collar crime practice of a leading Swiss law firm.
I am currently completing a Certificate of Advanced Studies in International Cultural Heritage Law and Provenance Studies at the University of Geneva.
What do you consider to be your biggest professional achievement ?
Becoming a lawyer has been both my biggest professional achievement and a lifelong dream.
Although I initially planned a career in international affairs, I quickly realised that the law was my true vocation — a profession I am deeply passionate about and could not imagine doing anything else.
What is the most impactful thing you have done ?
Representing the Swiss government in complex white-collar crime proceedings early in my career was a defining experience.
This demanding experience strengthened my legal and economic skills, deepened my understanding of financial mechanisms, reinforced my analytical precision, and taught me the importance of rigour, discipline, and persistence. It also shaped the way I approach challenges with focus and determination.
How many languages do you speak?
I am fluent in French and English and have a good understanding of German.
What drives you?
I am driven by ambition, curiosity, always seeking to challenge myself and refine my skills.
I thrive in dynamic environments and take pride in delivering high-quality, well-structured work.
I constantly seek new intellectual stimulation and opportunities to broaden my perspective.
Business aside, what do you enjoy doing when you are not in the office?
Outside of work, I enjoy yoga, running, and surfing whenever I can.
I also love travelling, visiting exhibitions, reading and spending time with my friends, as well as visiting my family in Valais.
What is your secret talent ?
I have plenty, obviously, but cooking is definitely not one. What I do excel at, however, is music quizzes — I never lose when it comes to 2000s hits or Disney songs.
