1. What are your areas of specialty?
My main areas of practice include assisting multinational sponsors with all corporate and regulatory aspects related to the structuring, formation, marketing, and ongoing operation of investment funds across a wide range of investment strategies—such as private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and fund-of-funds—in both the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). I also have experience advising institutional investors on their investments into funds, helping them navigate complex documentation and negotiation processes to ensure alignment with their investment objectives.
2. What kind of matters do you enjoy the most?
I really enjoy working on matters that involve problem-solving and strategic thinking, especially as legal and regulatory challenges continue to grow more complex. One aspect I find particularly engaging is the shift in perspective when advising different sides—for example, working with an institutional investor on one matter and then advising a sponsor on another. It brings variety to the work and gives me a more well-rounded view of the issues, which ultimately benefits all parties involved.
3. What is the most impactful work you have done throughout your career?
By guiding clients through the legal and regulatory complexities of fund formation, structuring, and ongoing compliance, I have helped facilitate the raising and, by extension, the deployment of capital into a diverse range of underlying assets that promote growth and innovation. These include investments in infrastructure projects that enhance societal resilience and connectivity, as well as venture capital and private equity funding that support the development and scaling of unlisted companies—investments that contribute significantly to job creation, technological advancement, and sustainable economic development.
