What are your areas of specialty?

My areas of specialty are Corporate and Commercial Law, as well as Company Incorporation, particularly in jurisdictions such as the Mainland UAE and several UAE Free Zones.

What kind of matters do your enjoy the most?

Being that my areas of specialty are Corporate and Commercial, I enjoy corporate structuring and drafting of commercial agreements. I especially enjoy matters that require me to not just tap into my legal skills, but also applying my logic and commercial awareness.

How many languages do you speak?

I’m fluent in both Tagalog and English and I know basic Korean Hangul.

What is the most impactful work you have done throughout your career?

The most impactful work I’ve done was during my time at a previous firm where I was the sole employee working directly with the partner, which meant I had the opportunity and responsibility to be involved in nearly every aspect of the practice. From developing internal systems and managing client relationships to supporting on complex legal matters, that experience taught me how to be resourceful, take initiative and contribute meaningfully to a firm’s growth.

Tell us about your academic and professional background.

I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Law from Middlesex University Dubai. I have worked Paralegal and Legal Assistant roles since graduating, until I successfully passed my SQE exams and qualified as a UK solicitor. Subsequently, I worked as an Associate at a boutique law firm in the UAE specialising in Corporate and Commercial Law.

What made you want to be a solicitor/lawyer?

My parents have always had a significant influence in my life and since majority of my parents’ work experience have been in law firms, my parents have steered me into considering a career in law.

Business aside, what do you enjoy doing when you are not in the office?

I love dancing and singing and taking care of my furbaby, Ellie!

Dancing and singing.
